CDL/CDT Information

Molina/Watson Dental Technologies, Inc. has worked diligently to obtain certification by the National Board for Certification in Dental Laboratory Technology (NBC) in two specialties: Crown & Bridge, and Ceramics. The NBC is dedicated to administering and promoting globally recognized certification programs to assess the knowledge, skills and abilities of dental technicians; and to review facility and staff training criteria for dental laboratories.

Laboratory Certification means strict adherence to all OSHA regulations, rigorous continuing education, maintenance of quality controls and stringent disinfection procedures. Currently there are approximately 12,000 commercial dental laboratories operating in the United States. Only 2.5% of these, or about 300 of them, are Active Certified Dental Laboratories.

Molina/Watson also has multiple Certified Dental Technicians (CDT’s) overseeing all phases of design and production in the laboratory. Currently there are approximately 46,000 dental technicians working in the United States with only 14% maintaining National Certification in there respective specialties. The majority of Molina/Watson’s auxiliary staff members maintain Certificates of Competency in various areas of the laboratory as well.

We are proud to be among this small percentage of dental laboratories and technicians striving for excellence.

Molina/Watson Dental Technologies, Inc. maintains active membership in the National Association of Dental Laboratories (NADL) whose mission is to be the recognized advocate for the dental laboratory technology industry by promoting professionalism, setting standards and providing valued services to its membership. Their vision is to provide strategic leadership, develop the highest standards of dental technology, and promote the dental technician as a valued member of the dental health team.

Molina/Watson is also a member of the International Team for Implantology (ITI) and the Colorado Dental Laboratory Association (CDLA).
